Rooted in a belief that art is embodied imagination, HERE: productions creates through-provoking cabaret shows that blend political critique with joy, laughter, and gratitude.

See A Show

Each show begins with a simple question centered around societal and political norms. This question informs narratives that transform the audience, as well as the performing artists. Our multimedia productions include original sound and video projections, drag, burlesque, acrobatics, performance art, spoken word, puppetry, hand-crafted props, and more.

Co-Producers

  • is a multimedia artist, working with music and sound design, dance and movement, burlesque and acrobatics, and is the second sibling in the Haus of Twirl. Their twirls, elegant acrobatic feats of strength, spine-tingling body rolls, original sound designs, and live music performances put jaws and drool all over the floor. With an aim to engage vulnerability, inspire introspection, and generate collective action, Ellis celebrates the human fragility and contributes to the never-ending exploration of human potential for stoopidity.

  • is the third sibling of the Haus of Twirl and returns to Chicago’s burlesque stages after a hiatus for graduate school. Challenging politics, identity, and gender norms with parody and pasties, they come to the stage with a fully embodied physicality. Drawing from their background in devised theater and playwriting, burlesque is an opportunity for them to bridge narrative gaps and explore storytelling through a new lens. A sensual mistress, a character mister, POW, they’re gonna hit you right in the kisser.
